"Diamonds in the Rough..."

The Clinical Director, Robert A. Stephens Jr., LMSW has over twenty plus years' of experience as a Licensed Master's of Social Work. More importantly, Mr. Stephens has ten years of Child Access and Visitation experience bringing youth and family members together through parenting time and visitation sessions. Mr. Stephens has counseled and performed a myriad of assessments for troubled youth and families with behavioral  and mental health issues. 

The Executive Director, Brenda J. Stephens,    

has over fourteen years’ of experience working with underserved, disadvantaged youth and families in the social service industry. Some of her experience stems from volunteering with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), AmeriCorps, First Steps of McDuffie County. While working with the Workforce Investment Act as a Youth Services Program Specialist and Youth Services Contract Evaluator. Ms. Stephens became a liaison for youth contractors, school personnel and low-income disadvantaged students who received some of the following services: on-the-job training, work experience, academic enhancement, mentoring, and career exploration. Ms. Stephens was passionate about ensuring the students remained in school, attained unsubsidized employment, attained a recognized credential or enrolled in post-secondary education which also mirrors the Federal Workforce Investment Act. 

 Moreover, Ms. Stephens participated in McDuffie Leadership Program which inspired her to develop Diamonds of Success Youth Development Center, Incorporated.

Child Access Visitation services increase the valuable time children are able to spend with their non-custodial parents. The Child Access Visitation Program consist of the following: 

• Neutral Drop Off/Pick Up Visitation

• Supervised Visitation

• Mediation

• Monitored Visitation

• Counseling sessions

• Case Management

• Group Parenting Classes

• Parenting Plans

• Intake and Assessment

• Services are FREE to those with active cases through the Division of Child Support Services.

Diamonds of Success Youth Development Center Incorporated's mission is to bridge the gap for disadvantaged, underserved youth and families through intensive interventional services and support via collaborative partnerships within the Central Savannah River Area.

BELIEF:

We believe our youth are valuable assets-- "diamonds in the rough..."--possessing inner abilities and skills, but requires preventive interventions throughout adolescent developmental stages to reach their full social, mental and physical potential.

We believe our youth will become productive citizens and world class leaders.
